3 Totally Different Makeup Looks You Can Get With Gray Eyeshadow, All Spotted on Last Night’s Red Carpets

Were you wearing gray eyeshadow last night? Chances are if you are a celebrity you were. Gray was a THING on the red carpets. Check out how Karolina Kurkova, Abby Cornish, and Coco Rocha wore the eye makeup shade.
Karolina Kurkova wore a sheer wash of it to the amfAR Gala:

When it’s kept as a wash like this, the effect is soft and dreamy and romantic. You can experiment with the look at home by tapping your eyeshadow brush in your favorite gray, blowing off most of the excess powder, and then painting your upper lids. Start by applying just up to the creases, and then you can go higher if you feel like your eyes could handle it that night. Abby Cornish added in a bit of brown into the gray she wore to the London premiere of RoboCop Reboot to make her chocolate eyes really glow.

You can see the two mingled together along her creases. This not only makes her smoky eye richer, but it adds dimension—key with a gray smoky eye because the color can sometimes look a little flat.
And, finally, we have Coco Rocha, also at the amfAR gala with the funkiest take on gray:

This model often goes for bold looks, so it’s not surprising that hers is the loudest, craziest, and fiercest of the bunch. She went with a lighter silver-speckled gray all over her lids with a deep, dark matte gray along her creases. The contrast is really cool.
