Trend Alert: The Big Thing to Do in Hollywood With Your Nails Right Now You Should Try for Your Next Manicure

Any time you see three stars wearing the same general nail look at one event (the NAACP Image Awards), you know you’ve got a real trend on your hands. And this weekend it was all about metallics.

Lupita Nyong’o wore a surprising metallic orange:

Scandal‘s Darby Stanchfield wore a soft white gold with a matte topcoat:

And Sherri Shepard wore a silvery blue:

No wonder so many companies like Zoya included metallics in their spring 2014 color collections—seems that’s what everyone is craving on the red carpet right now. And it’s interesting that none of these is just a plain-ol’ straight-up metal. I mean, even the gold on Stanchfield’s nails got a little update by way of a mattifying topcoat.
